It’s been a great year for cement projects for SSI. One of our engineering design projects – Lehigh Mitchell – won the Outstanding Concrete Award from the Indiana Ready Mixed Concrete Association! We gathered to celebrate with the project team at the Outstanding Concrete Awards Luncheon.
May 2022 we were live at the IEEE-IAS PCA Cement Conference presenting our recently published paper about best practices for small volume concrete walled silo solutions.

Cement Terminal Expansion – Green Bay, Wisconsin – new design of a 10,000 ton silo with pneumatic conveying from barge to the silo, design of reclaim system from the silo to truck.
New Cement and Raw Meal Silos - Mitchell, Indiana - New design for two 60 feet in diameter by 251 feet tall cement silos. Storage capacity of each is 16,000 metric tons. The blend silo has an internal diameter of 59 feet in the upper storage space and an overall height of 178 feet. Storage capacity is 13,000 metric tons.
New Cement Terminal - Spring Hill, Kansas - Structural and mechanical design for four 2,500 ton storage silos with a truck unloading area pneumatically conveyed to silos. Each silo is 32 feet in diameter by 124 feet tall.
Blend Silo Design - Ragland, Alabama - This new blending silo is 258 feet tall, making it one of the tallest buildings in St. Clair County! The new silo has a capacity of 13,000 metric tons of raw meal.
New Wall Liner – Pueblo, Colorado – Designed a solution to fix severe damage of a cement silo wall, notable splitting of wall section, from asymmetric flow. Silo is 52 feet in diameter by 175 feet tall.
